Chocolate Acorns

I originally made these chocolate acorns for my daughter’s Enchanted Forest Fairy Party. I thought they would be a perfect addition to the Thanksgiving dessert table, or a favor to send home with guests. They are super easy to make, and quite tasty!

Chocolate Acorns

You will need:

  • Hersheys Kisses
  • Mini Nilla Wafers
  • Chocolate Icing
  • Butterscotch morsels

I found it easiest to use an icing bag and tip for the chocolate icing. Simply “glue” a mini wafer to a Hershey’s kiss, then add the butterscotch morsel to the top as a “stem”. Let them set for 30 mins or so (may want to refrigerate). They stayed together without a problem, and were easy to transport.

Happy Thanksgiving Week!

Halloween Fun

We had 2 Halloween costumes to chose from, so here’s our little Minnie Mouse AND Tinkerbell. We enjoyed a nice evening at a friend’s party with LOTS of kids running around in costume!  I had decided to take a night off from carrying my camera around (since I feel like I do a photo shoot everyday). I should have brought it because the hostess did such a great job with decorating. She created a “kid’s cookie station” where the kids could customize their cookie with spooky toppings. Super cute idea.  She did a lot of work on the party, all while caring for 9-week-old twin boys!  Hope everyone had fun trick or treating!
